I prefer this lens to the Rodenstock 115 mm Grandagon because the 135 mm Apo-S seems sharper, is lighter (only 240 gms), and is more compact (Copal 0 shutter, 49 mm filter size versus 82 mm filter size on 115 mm lens); with 6 x 9 roll film back I get the angle of view of a longer length lens but with greater depth of field; filter size matches that of my Schneider 210 mm G-Claron; the filters for the 82 mm lens were bulky and much more costly; better coverage and attainable lens shift than achievable with Nikon or Schneider 135 mm lenses; much less expensive than Schneider 110 XL mm Super Symmar; Nikon requires 52 mm filter

Lens weighs about 10% more than the Nikon and Schneider 135 mm lenses;

This lens complements a 210 mm G-Claron Schneider lens without requiring a different set of filters, as would be needed if I were to have bought a Schneider 110 XL lens that requires a 67 mm EW filter; the 135 mm lens can be used without having to change to wide angle bellows or dropping bed of camera
