Strength:

Large focus ring makes it easy to hold and focus. The sharpness is very nice. Price on the used market is just fantastic. You can put together entire packages for not much $ at all.

Weakness:

It is a big lens but that comes with the territory. Long mm lens are big, no suprise. The same market that will let you buy very cheaply used is the one that will not get you a lot back should you decide to sell. However when you see how easy this camera is to use, its compactness, and the quality of pictures you will probably not even think of selling it.

I was very suprised by the sharpness this lens delievered. Even the background objects that were focused at infinity were very sharp. I look at the chromes on a light box with a 15x and 22x loupe so you can see if the focus is a little soft. I have also shot this lens with the 1.4 teleconverter with very nice results. If compared with and without the tele you will be able to see a slightly softer focus of the converter but because the lens is so sharp as it is shots with the converter are acceptable.

Customer Service

I have not needed or used them. I cant say.

Only other similar equipment I have is for 35mm. 6x7 chromes of E100VS on a lightbox just blow you away compared to 35mm.
