    Strength:

Extremely sharp, very rich and contrasty images, reeks quality in every way

    Weakness:

Absurdly large and heavy...and the price isn't small either!

I've had this lens for several months and find that I use it quite frequently for landscapes; about equally with/without the 1.4x Mutar teleconverter. Results are just as sharp with the TC as without. A truly excellent lens, as are all in the Contax 645 line (I have all but the 140); typical Zeiss attention to quality and detail. I'm puzzled as to the reason for its great weight compared to other 350/4 MF lenses, even those by Zeiss...I've forgiven its bulk, however, when I see the results it delivers. Check my website www.dannyburk.com for a large number of sample photos from this and the other 645 lenses.
