Razor sharp across the board. 1:1 focussing.

Size. f/4. Length when focused 1:1 but what are you going to do?

I wanted to consolidate my 150 portrait lens and my desire for a macro so this was the obvious choice. It is proportionally light weight and the focus is very smooth although I was originally taken aback by the length of lens extension at 1:1.

A bit pricey. I bought it used in Mint condition for $900 -- a very good buy. New it will run you around $1,500 or so.

The Mamiya 120mm f/4 Macro is an excellent lens. True 1:1 ratio and excellent optics. I shoot outdoors mainly. Mostly plants, bugs and occasional portraits. I highly recommend this lens.
