Strength:

Sharpness and Contrast Excellent out-of-focus area

Weakness:

Expensive Prone to flare on backlit objects No life-size (1:1) micro range without attachments. Bay VI attachments are extremely expensive

The Lens is very sharp and contrasty and is almost unbeatable when everything is done right. The out-of-focus area (Bokeh) is excellent and made the picture has the sort of painting look which could never be achieved by my otherwise very sharp Nikon gears. Construction is first class and is very reliable so far. It provides you confidence on all occasions. The lens is however prone to flare under backlight and the contrast will just degrade so. I have owned the non-PQS version however I think the optics should be the same on both PQ and PQS version. -Dennis
