Strength:

Low prices. Fairly easy to upload pictures.

Weakness:

Very limited fonts and sizes available for greeting card messages. Customer service area of the website seems to be for show only. It's confusing to use it and then you get no answer.

This was my third time ordering greeting cards from DotPhoto. The first two times the cards arrived on time and they were good quality cards at a low price. I would have been happy to keep ordering from them if they hadn't messed up so badly this time. I never received my order and the order mysteriously disappeared from my order history with no explanation after I inquired about the delay.

Customer Service

My experience with Customer Service was terrible. No way to speak to anyone by telephone. I submitted a question through their website to find out why my order had not been processed after eight business days. I received no answer. Two business days later I submitted another inquiry about my order. I did not receive an answer but the next day the order I inquired about disappeared from my order history like it never existed. I received no information from DotPhoto about why they did that. They obviously do not care if they get my business or not so I will no longer use DotPhoto.

Strength:

Cheap.

Weakness:

Poor customer service and slow delivery. My order confirmation says it should ship in 1-3 business days. I ordered 2 weeks ago and my order history still says it hasn't shipped.

This is my first time purchasing photos through dotPhoto. I just wanted a large poster sized phot printed. I won't be a returning customer.

Customer Service

Terrible. I emailed customer service for my order status 3 days ago, and still received no response. Previous posts seem to indicate they actually spoke to customer service on the phone. They don't offer a phone number to call anymore. Maybe they were getting too many complaints!

I've been using DP for many years now. I use if for personal and business. There's no limitation to how long they host the photos, it's easy to use and it's FREE.
For business purposes, they take care of everything; printing, shipping and collecting payments. All I have to do is; upload, set prices and wait on the deposit.

Customer Service

I've had a couple of customers that didn't receive their order, but I contacted CS and they reprinted and shipped it.

Strength:

Awesome print quality, followed by clubphoto.....

Weakness:

Taking forever to upload my pics, I just leave my pc on overnight, and hope it'll be done by the morning

Don't know why people up there are complaining about the quality of the prints, it's the best one of all.

Customer Service

I don't complain much!

Strength:

price, but ClubPhoto charge $0.25 per 4x6, it''s cheaper than dotPhoto now.

Weakness:

bad support, steal photos, bad quality

dotPhoto.com provides very bad services, I have to tell you my experience so you will not suffer like I did. I ordered 382 pictures from dotPhoto.com on April 18 after my Italy trip. After one week wait, I finally received the photos, but there were only 130 prints (Besides that, 6 of them were in very bad quality.). I called them and left a message in the voice mail, I also sent an email to their support, but I got no response. So I called them again after a few days, finally I talked to their support - Charlene. She asked me to order the missing 252 photos again, she will credit them back to my account. So I spent a lot of time checking which photos were missing, then reorder them again. I also sent her email asking her to check the new order before shipment, because I really hate to see another mistake. Of course, she never replyed my email. Finally, I got my reordered photos on 5/10, but it was 56 photos short again !!!! I called them today, Charlene picked up the phone, I explained the problem to her. She answered "according to the shipment weight it should contain the correct number of photos". She refused to send me the missing 56 photos, but saying the only solution is sending her back the whole order, then she will refund the money. This is really not a solution to me, how can I choose to ship the photos back to them? I spent many hours to upload all those photos, additional hours to do ordering and re-ordering, calling them and email them many times for their mistakes, plus my mom and my aunt were waiting for those photos to bring back to Taiwan, my friends were also asking for the Italy photos for long time. Now, after 3 weeks of waiting, I finally got most of my trip photos, and the only solution she offered me is to ship them all back for refund instead of correcting their own mistake (to give me my missing photos).... I had a long argument with her, but her attitude was very bad. I asked to talk to her supervisor, she said she is "the" manager in support, no one else is supervising her. I asked to talk to their president, she refuse to do it. .... I have never faced such a ridiculous customer support. My only choice is to treat this 56 photos as my own loss. I cannot believe a well known company will choose to steal my 56 photos ($15.00) ! So, my friend, my advice to you - don''t deal with dotPhoto.com. Please forward my

Weakness:

Quality of prints : - focus - color - shipping

I used ofoto, shutterfly, photoaccess and colormailer before trying dotphoto. The price of dotphoto is very low but the quality is also low! Far behind other print services. Photo is out of focus, colors sometimes look strange and I even got 3 photos which where not for me!

Strength:

Low low prices.

Weakness:

Mediocre to sometimes poor print quality.

I searched for an affordable alternative to Ofoto and Shutterfly and found Dotphoto. Their prices are outstanding but buyer beware--you get what you pay for. The print quality doesn''t come anywhere close to Ofoto and Shutterfly. I continue to use Ofoto for my favorite prints or for prints with more challenging lighting/shading. If you just want one copy of some snapshots that aren''t as important--look no further. If you compare photos from Ofoto or Shutterfly with the same photo from Dotphoto, you will always find that the other labs look much better. The color often looks faded in the dotphoto photos and this often gives the effect of the image being slightly out of focus. Sometimes the skin tones have been a little too pink. I have approx 70 to 100 photos printed per month and am willing to sacrifice photo quality to save quite a bit of money much of the time. I think that the photo processing equipment is of a lesser quality than the computers/machines used at Ofoto and Shutterfly. I will say that the uploading tools on Dotphoto are easier and faster to use.

Customer Service

Excellent.
