    Strength:

On time delivery (maybe I was lucky), came in about 4 days.

    Weakness:

    Image quality sucks!

VERY POOR QUALITY. Most of the images have a dark tone on them. Not to mention that the original crispness of the image is lost.

To give imagestation a fair review I searched on the web and found similar complaints not only from users but also Review Editors, like the following:

Absolute waste of money. Fortunately I did not have to call Customer Service and experience the pathetic experience that other users here have commented on.

    Weakness:

Poor customer service, does not deliver on time.

Do not use this company! They have the worst customer service! I ordered a photo crystal on December 6, hoping it would be here in time for Christmas. I got an email on Demeber 20 that stated there was a problem. I called customer service and they just kept saying 'I'm sorry sir' , it would be put in 'escalated' status, and someone would contact me. It's Decmeber 26 and I have yet to hear anything!

    Customer Service

    The worst.

I used Sony Imagestation to make a christmas card (folding 5x7" card) out of a snow-scene I shot last winter. The online tool was easy to use. I ordered the card on the Friday before Thanksgiving, it shipped on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, so 5-8 business days I figure. The cards are good quality - the cardstock is fairly substantial and the envelopes are as well. They basically look and feel like the quality of boxed cards you would buy at the drugstore or Walmart or something. (Even the box they come in looks like the boxes those store cards come in, with the cardboard bottom and the clear plastic top. They have a silver stretchy tie around them and everything - I'm now thinking that I could even make cards for people as gifts.) They provide 21 envelopes and 20 cards in a box. I appreciate the extra envelope.

I used brown lettering on the inside and the color was pretty true to the color I saw on the screen when I made the card (they have a lot of color options) - but I know that can vary by screens.

Overall I was very happy with it. One envelope had a little brown or dirt or something on it at the very top edge, but out of 44 that's not bad. They're email updates when I placed the order and they shipped the cards were both pretty funny looking, but I didn't care much about that.

    Customer Service

    Didn't have to use.

I ordered some cards on September 9, 2006. I received the order on September 15, 2006. It was not done right. After a long time online and on the phone, they agreed to re-do the order. It is now September 26, 2006, and my order has not been shipped. I have called several times and they tell me that they will escalate the issue but nothing ever happens.

I've been using different online services since their invention and I have seen many really bad ones. But Sony ImageStation is probably the leader. Seems like there is no Customer Service at all. I ordered prints a month ago and still have not received them and have not idea if they were actually sent. How does this service even exist? Why some goverment agency has not just shut down their website. Imagestation just charges you credit card and then you have to wait and pray that your order has not been lost. Didn't expect service like this from Sony.

To say really bad is to say nothing

This online service is one of the worst online sites I have ever used. Please do not waste your time with them. I ordered several gifts on Dec 12th. It is now the 22nd and two are lost and the other has not shipped yet. Quality service is not their strong suit. I had to change the address immediatly after the order, but was not allowed to, it is against their policy. They said my item (a mug with my picture on it) was in stock and could not be changed. Four chat sessions later, they still could not change my address, cancel the order, or find the lost orders. I now have missed out on those gifts for this Christmas. I am not on my 2nd hour waiting on the help line to talk to a person. They are just terrible!! My recommendation is to not use SONY IMAGESTATION for your digital gift needs. I have had much better service with www.dotphoto.com. Any online service that is that inflexible is soon to perish. I hope this deters you from wasting your time with the SONY IMAGESTATION service located at www.imagestation.com.
