Strength:

The S600 is a versatile text, graphics, and photo printer. Its 2,400- by 1,200-dpi resolution output nearly rivals that of its new sibling, the photo-centric Canon S800 Color Bubble Jet printer. building signs Cincinnati Ohio

Weakness:

A bit expensive for the printer.

Strength:

The overall quality of the S600's output likely exceeds the requirements of a typical small-office or home-office environment. For $200, this printer goes above and beyond the call of duty. Unless your quality demands are stiff where photo and graphics printing is concerned, the S600 Color Bubble Jet is a very good choice. Our office definitely needs more printers, regards, tree removal auckland.

Weakness:

Some say it is slower to print just plain text

Strength:

good quality on regular paper. good color

Weakness:

terrible quality on glossy paper! obvious grains, a bit dark. not good as a photo printer

i've been using this printer for a long time. i think i got it when it first came out.. i'm pleased w/ its printer quality on regular paper. however, on glossy photo paper, it sucks! its color is better than the lexmark (lexmark prints out photos like they got washed out) that i have on my other PC, but the black ink smurges and leaves dots on the photo which the lexmark doesn't do. works fine if there's no black on the photo.. because of this, i have to buy a new photo printer just to print pics, and i'm so broke! urgh

Model Reviewed: Canon S600

Strength:

Prints both graphics and text equally well. Ink has good longevity, and lasts much longer then older inkjet printers I have used. The individual color ink tank system theoretically saves money and eliminates waste. Easy to use.

Weakness:

Slight exaggeration of grain structure in smooth shadowed areas.

I find that this printer suits my needs well. I use it to print up graphics for Photoshop and 3D Studio, as well as some typical office documents. The photographs I print out are mainly black and white, with limited color. Resolution is high, colors are blended, and details and highlights are maintained. This is not a professional grade printer, and it should not be expected to turn out professional results, but it excels in the consumer market. I have been able to matte and frame photographs printed from this printer, and observers are unaware of the difference in printing. The only noticeable degrading between those and other traditionally printed photographs is some loss of depth.
