Strength:

Light
Cheap (good price)

Weakness:

Creeps when loaded
3 knobs for tension, lock, pan.
Head and Pan difficult to lock.
Poor build quality

This is a fairly nice passible, head for the money, but not really good enough to use everyday. The head is difficult to lock at times and the pan knob is too small to unlock and lock.

My major concern was the build quality. There is a plastic ring around the top of the ball head. This ring is glued in and my sample came unglued. It would rotate and block the slot for veritcal shotting. I had to glue it back. I sold it and bought a Linhoff Profi II.

The Linhoff Profi II is a similar design, and much better head, but it's near 3X the cost of the Giotto.
