3265 Grip Action Ball Head
Strength:
Quick and easy to use. Well built and not expensive at all.
Weakness:
Can only handle up to max capacity of 5lbs. Too tall to be used in vertical position. Don't even try to use it with anything heavier than 5lbs. This is an excellent "ballhead" if your gear is lite. Setup is extremely easy and fast. Customer Service None Similar Products Used: Sold the 3265 after 12 months and bought the new Bogen 3435QR (3435QR is an outstanding ballhead) |

Strength:
Amazing - very easy to use and set up. I like the quick release. Can set the composition with one hand. Has a bubble level too.
Weakness:
Adjustable tension device does not appear to work. I bought this ball head on the strength of the reviews and I am very glad I did. This is very definetly worth a big "5". Similar Products Used: 3D head. |

Strength:
Quick and Easy!!!
Weakness:
Heavy I bought this tripod head to use with both my spotting scope and camera- Easy adjustment in all planes makes this head awesome. I watch other birders with both hands on the adjustments and wonder why everyone doesn't have one of these action grip heads. I am able to track flying birds with one hand on the grip and the other on the scope focus. It is also extremely easy to use with the camera. A quick relase on both camera and scope allow me to easily switch back and forth between the two. Buy it's a wonderful head. Customer Service never needed Similar Products Used: only Cheap Tripods |

Strength:
VERY easy to use. Solidly built. Inexpensive.
Weakness:
Heavy. This head is awesome. By far, the best head I have used. Very easy to compose, but fine tuning takes a bit of fiddling. After a while you, develop a "touch" for this head, and it operates flawlessly. It becomes second nature how to quickly go to a vertical composition. I've checked this head along w/ my huge Bogen tripod many times, and the head has handled the abuse. The price of this head makes it a steal. Strength:
Very easy to use. One step adjustement to alomst any angle.
Weakness:
A little tricky to turn to right angles. Using this for most shooting with lightweight lenses and 35mm gear, it is a pleasure - quick and easy. The tension adjustment is a little flaky (it doesn't seem to do anything). Overall, I love this head. Customer Service na Similar Products Used: Super Ball |

Strength:
No more fumbling with lock downs. Very fast and easy to use.
Weakness:
Not from me. My daughter used it once and was not familiar with lock on mounting plate. Almost lost a camera! Very smooth and sturdy! When used with a heavy lens is still rock solid. I do a lot of night photography and it is a pleasure to just squeeze, position and release. Bang-up job Bogen! Customer Service Haven't used. Similar Products Used: Vivitar. |

Strength:
- Convenience: One-Hand operation with the "joystick" design.
Weakness:
- Max. Load Capacity only 5.5lb. It's a very good ball head for a small camera. The joystick head design is very nice for one head operation. However, having an EOS 3+PB-E2+200mm f2.8+550EX Speedite, I start to feel that I need a bigger ball head, especially I need to mount a macro focusing rail on it plus all these. Otherwise, I like this head very much. Customer Service Haven't Tried before. Similar Products Used: Manfrotto 308RC |

Mine is a Manfrotto 222
Weakness:
My main problem is with such a tall head, when you try to recompose a scene horizontally from a given position, the camera falls into an off axis position, that you may have to raise the center column and move aside in some certain camera-object distances. I have solved this problem by attaching a 3229 monopod tilt head on the grip head. With a telezoom attached to my camera it seems as if it may not stay rock solid, but I have not tried it in a windy weather for lonf exposures. I like it. It is worth the money I have paid. It can handle my photography gear easily and strongly. It has been specified to handle loads up to 2,5 kg. If need to to use heavier eqiupment, I would like to try 3435 ballhead; again Manfrotto. Customer Service No problem uptill now. Similar Products Used: Manfrotto 352RC (Bogen 3262QR) |

Strength:
Soooo easy to use. Much better than traditional Knob type pan and tilt or ball heads. Very fast adjustments and no guessing about movement when tightening knobs.
Weakness:
5 1/2 lb capacity. not a problem with a Nikon n80 & Nikkor 70-300 lens, but forget about large "pro" telephoto or zoom. Almost perfect for non-"pro" lenses. Very quick & easy to use. Natural adjustment of position. I wouldn't consider anything else with "consumer systems. Very sturdy support. I use it on the 3221W tripod (see reviews).
