    Strength:

    Lightweight, thats about it

    Weakness:

Joints were legs attach to center are extremely weak.

I would spend the extra couple bucks for a bogen. The tripod itself is made of high quality, alluminum, but the joints are made of low grade white iron, which snaps easily. Because of this and the fact that it doesnt have a ball head, i wouldn't recomend it.

    Customer Service

Unfortuantly, i have had to sent mine back 3, yes 3 times for repairs after legs snap off.

    Strength:

Tripod is easy to use. It is sturdy, compact & lightweight when closed. The legs angle out to three positions for setting up on uneven terrain.

    Weakness:

The tripod does not have a built-in level or scale. It would help for taking multiple shots to later stitch together digitally.

The Slik 300DX is a well built tripod for a reasonable price.

    Strength:

Very sturdy tripod, all "connections" where legs pivot are sturdy. Moving parts lock down very well. Has the ability to turn the center post over and shoot "upside down".

    Weakness:

Could me a bit taller and the screw-in locks for the legs are a little more time consuming than I thought it would be. Also, if you want to turn the center post upside down, that's a bit time consuming as well.

If you're looking for a good tripod at a decent price, this is a good bet for you...novice, amatuer, or pro. If you want a super high quality tripod, try spending a lot more money on something else.

Haven't had to use, and don't plan on needing too. This is a very sturdy tripod.
