    Professional

    Strength:

    -light, compact, sturdy
    -easily fits in luggage
    -fast leglocks
-in 5 years of use it's held up very well

    Weakness:

    -discontinued so hard to find
-wish it was a little taller
-center column prevents low to the ground shooting

This is one great tripod! Light, compact and sturdy. It has never let me down, unlike my more expensive carbon fibre tripods which have required warranty work due to breaking in the cold.

This is my main tripod for travelling and shooting landscapes. It's also my favourite of the 5 tripods I own including manfrotto and gitzo carbon fiber pods!

If you can still find it, buy it!

    Casual

    Strength:

Strong and light, plus macro feature. What more do you want?

    Weakness:

None I could think off. Well it could be a bit long for business trips, but I chose this over the 4 section model because of operation speed.

People kept telling me names like Manfrotto and Gitzo. Sure they're great, but they cost heaps. I want lightweight, I want sturdiness, I want decent price, I got 803CF.

Velbon 343E. Great, but only for a p&s. DLSR, a bit wobbly.
