I bought this housing so I could try my hand at underwater photography while in Hawaii. There were 2 other housings to choose from (one by Nikon and one by Ikelite), but they were both almost twice the price and out of stock so I went with the Fantasea.

I'm very impressed with the build quality of CP-7. It's sturdy and fits well in my hand. The 6 button controls offer access to 80% of the camera's features, but they don't offer full functionality like the other two models mentioned above. The features I was unable to access were not missed so really didn't impare mt ability to make an image.

One thing that surprised me was how hot the camera got while in the housing. As a result of the heat inside the housing, fogging would occur so be sure to invest in some desiccant capsules (think along the line of Moisture Munchers or a similar product).

Also, be sure and purchase the red filter recommended for this housing. It will help battle the color shift that occurs once you get below 6 feet deep.

Over all, I wouldn't hesitate getting this housing. It worked splendidly and with the money I saved, I was able to buy more gear for the trip.
