Film automatically advances to the next frame after each shot and power rewind may be activated at any time. The built-in flash fires automatically in low light. AF101R also features a button to activate the flash for fill flash for outdoor pictures or to switch off the flash when not wanted. To protect the high-quality lens from scratches and dust, a hidden lens cover slides into place whenever the camera is turned off.
