Summary:
fire 5.0 is an amazing edit suite where you can do everything ! I find myself in a situation where I can''t say no to any project. Version 5.0 included film resolution support (yp to mx 4K) in a 12bits colorspace (I think this is the only NLE that can work at this very high res & colorspace. OMF files from Avid can be imported to conform (all my projects are offlined in an Avid system). DVE has 100 layers (with color correction, keyer, tracker, displacement mapping, etc). The system is not tied to a specific resolution since it is capable of 601 and any HDTV format (even 720p/60).This is a real beast !

Strengths:
Easy to use and powerful.

Weaknesses:
I''m still looking for some ;)
