What’s In My Camera Bag Video – Photo-John’s Ski Pack

What’s In My Camera Bag Video – Photo-John’s Ski PackThis is a project I’ve wanted to do for a long time – a series of “What’s In My Camera Bag” videos, featuring different kinds of pro photographers and their gear. Seeing what we carry in our camera bags and backpacks gives a lot of insight into how we shoot and what’s necessary to get the job done. This video is just the first of many. A lot of my work is backcountry action sports photography so I figured that would be a logical place to start. Since it’s winter now, in Utah, I thought people would like to see the camera gear I carry when I ski and how I carry it. I apologize if I’m a little out of breath in the video – hiking on skis at 9000 feet is hard work.

Thanks for watching our first “What’s In My Camera Bag” video. I hope you found it informative. If you’ve got any questions, please ask away in the comments section below. And since this is my first experiment with this video concept, feel free to make requests. What other “What’s In Your Camera Bag” videos would you like to see?

For those who want to know more about the pack, it’s a Clik Elite Contrejour ski-specific camera pack (Clik Elite Contrejour tradeshow video). Clik Elite makes dedicated camera packs for active outdoor photographers and I can’t recommend their packs enough. The video was shot with the Nikon Coolpix AW100 rugged, waterproof point-and-shoot camera.

My buddy Liam Doran uses a lot of Clik Elite bags, maybe even that one, and he loves them, and always recommends them to me. Thanks John!

I didn’t really intend this to be a Clik Elite review, Daniel. But they do make great stuff. As far as I know, the only other serious contender is F-Stop. I reviewed their original Tilopa pack a couple of years ago (F-Stop Tilopa Camera Pack Review) and then I skied with the new Tilopa BC all last season and it was great. But I do think the Clik Elite Contrejour skis the best. I like the Clik Elite packs even more for mountain biking.
