Canon PowerShot SX160 IS – Affordable New 16x Superzoom CameraCanon announced an affordable new compact superzoom camera today, the PowerShot SX160 IS. The 16-megapixel Canon PowerShot SX160 IS has a 16x 28-448mm (equivalent) zoom lens with Canon’s Intelligent IS system to help keep things steady in low light and when zoomed in for long telephoto shots. The SX160 IS has DIGIC 4 image processing, a 3-inch LCD display for composing and sharing photos, 720p HD video and it uses easy to buy AA batteries.

The Canon PowerShot SX160 IS will be available next month (September, 2012) in red and black. The suggested retail price is a very wallet-friendly US $229.99.
