New Nikon SB-910 Flagship Speedlight Flash

News Nikon Studio & Lighting

New Nikon SB-910 Flagship Speedlight FlashEarlier this week, Nikon announced a new flagship speedlight flash for their digital SLRs. The Nikon SB-910 has a new, easier to use control interface with a dedicated menu button. It has a zoom range of 17-200mm and automatically detects whether it’s being used with an FX or DX format camera so it can get the zoom right. It’s fully compatible with Nikon’s Creative Lighting System and can be used mounted on the camera’s hot shoe, as a remote flash, or as a “commander,” to control other Nikon flashes. And in response to overheating problems with its predecessor, the SB-900, Nikon gave the SB-910, “a new Thermal Cut-Out function, which offers protection against damage to the flash panel and body from overheating during continuous flash use.”
