New – Sony Cybershot WX70 & WX50 Compact CamerasSony announced a couple of new 16-megapixel W-Series Cybershot point-and-shoot cameras, the DSC-WX70 and DSC-WX50. Both cameras have full HD video, a 5x 25-125mm optical zoom lens and “Clear Image Zoom” technology that effectively doubles the zoom range. They also both have built-in creative “Picture Effects” and new “Extra High Sensitivity” technology that’s supposed to improve image quality in low light photos.

The main difference between the Sony Cybershot WX70 and WX50 is the LCD display. The WX70 has a 3-inch touch screen display and the WX50 has a standard 2.7-inch LCD.

The Sony Cybershot WX70 and WX50 digital camera are scheduled to be in stores in March of 2012. The WX70 will be available in black, pink, violet, silver and white and sell for $230. The WX50 will come in black and silver and sell for $200.
