Quality camera. Big difference coming from a 1 Megapixel camera. A novice to a professional looking for good digital pictures will enjoy this camera. With a 256MB compact flash card ($125) you can take 126 pictures on average. Also supports "Micro-drives".

    Strength:

Improved picture quality, metering, and faster boot time than G1.

    Weakness:

Still a P&S not really suitable for action. Also, the smallest aperture is f8, which can be limiting. Also, the flash system is still a little weak (needs better daylight sync capabilities).

The G2 is a nice upgrade to the G1, and corrects some of the G1''s faults. The image quality is better, due (probably) to improved metering. Also, the range of brightness the camera can capture has increased. White areas don''t wash out as easily as they did with the G1. It also boots much faster, and seems to focus faster, althoug it''s nowhere near as fast as an SLR. There''s also a more flexible focusing system that allows you to select from three focus points. Marginally useful, but not bad.

    Customer Service

    Haven''t needed it.
