Strength:

The best value for money camera for a PRO photographer. But this camera is so easy to operate that anyone can use it.

Weakness:

Several reviewers have mentioned the pop up flash but I haven't had any problems so far.

I would recommend this camera as a backbone for a pro outfit. It's so cheap that you can buy about 2 bodies and it would still be cheaper than buying one EOS A3. Very, very quiet.Fast 5fps. I would strongly recommend that you use it with a VG-10 grip.

Customer Service

I haven't had the pleasure of dealing wiht them yet.

Strength:

A lot of camera for the money. Fast shutter speeds, good choice of lens. Not bad for plastic body.

Weakness:

Pop up flash is ok with normal lens. Needs additional flash with wide angle or zoom lens.

I think the A2 is best camera there is for the money. The only reason to spend more money on a camera is if you put it through a lot of abuse or if you shoot a lot of sports you might want a camera that is a little faster.

Strength:

Full Idiot Mode right down to Full Manual. Very easy to use. This is my first camera and I jumped right in with the A2. Not too heavy but seems solid enough. Loaded with options.

Weakness:

None thus far.

This is a great camera. I got mine for $200 on the internet. Usually it goes for $350-400 used. Even at that price it is a great buy. This is an excellent camera.

Customer Service

Strength:

It's a great camera, it's got lots of features. I love how quiet the motor drive and shutter are. The top film transport speed of 5fps is nice.

Weakness:

Pop up flash failed once and had to be repaired. The only other wishes I have for the camera is I wish it had a metered manual scale and a lighted top display

Great Camera. I have had mine for about 7 years and love it.

Strength:

Lightweight

Weakness:

We have 5 of them at work. All of them have been to the shop at least once because the pop up flash stopped working (When it works it is a nice "fill in"). The function dial has failed on all of them. (real frustrating)

Great camera for the price. Not very rugged though. Gotta hate that #&*>""~`function dial.
It let me down on a very important shoot!

Strength:

This camera's great- lightweight, fast, and accurate. It's also a bargain compared to the 3, 1, and Nikon F100 & F5. I love the ability to select autofocus points. Excellent lens system.

Weakness:

None- every EOS camera I've owned has performed flawlessly. Even the cheaper plastic bodied ones I've had have taken a beating and continued to work great.

This would be a great camera even if it were more expensive. At the current prices posted on the web(I just bought one with the vertical grip for $550), you can own one of these plus a second as backup for less than a 3. Buy one now!

Customer Service

Have never needed any. Can't say that about some of the aftermarket lenses I've owned.

Strength:

I agree with the other reviewers. Best camera for the money. I don't need the ruggedness of the 1 or the 3. I especially like that I can get the maximum fps without a power booster.Shutter speed range is perfect.

Weakness:

Auto focus is spotty in low-light.

A great camera. As professional as you could want without the extra durability. Compared to the 1-N, ruggedness is about all you sacrifice.

Customer Service

No need to find out yet.

Strength:

Ease of handling and intuitive controls. Very quiet and unobtrusive in noise sensitive areas, especially when using USM lenses.

Weakness:

Need to buy stock in battery manufacturers as this camera eats the 2CR5 in no time flat.

This camera was purchased as a Canon refurbished unit. So far, everyting has been wonderful. The comments on problems with the A-TTL flash system being fooled haven't affected me. If the focus point is on your subject, exposure is right on.

Strength:

Easy to use, all features work well; except Control knob

Weakness:

I use the camera very often and have now had the control knob break for a second time - and it is costly - I'm hearing this is a product flaw - what does one do?

I really like the Canon products but this Control knob thing is really troubling and expensive. Hard to understand where the product mnanagers were when they were reviewing the strenght of this knob - very unlike them. Should have a recall on this body and offer to fix

Strength:

It's back-up body and a Canon - most the functions are easy to feel without having to always look for them.

Weakness:

The main function dial is weak and will break internally. The Batteries get drained way too fast, unless you have the BP.

Save your money and buy something with a stronger composition. These things have become thin, lite and cheap - plastic... It's a pain.

Customer Service

Mine is still broken and sleeping in it's box. No time to wade into the customer service scene.
