Strength:

The Rebel G takes great photos and my wife loves it because it is so easy to use.

Weakness:

None

A great camera for the beginner. I would recommend it instead of a point and shoot for the beginner since if they become interested in photography, they can interchange lenses...and it is just as easy as a point and shoot to use.

Strength:

This has been a great camera to get close-up shots. I use my son as a subject and I wanted to be able to get closer than 3 feet and still have the pic in focus. The auto settings have been easy to use. Since I photograph primarily people (portrait type pics) the 28-80 lens has been all that I've needed.

Weakness:

The auto-focus is sometimes slow.

I'd highly recommend this camera for the beginner or intermediate photographer who is looking for a "good" camera that can produce quality pictures and still be simple to use. Close-ups are a cinch to take with this camera. The versatility that is available is also useful when switching back and forth between automatic settings and manual ones.

Strength:

Lightweight, easy to use, lots of options on
exposure modes and autoprogramming.

Weakness:

50mm lens broke, but not sure if that was my
fault or not.

Autofocus spastic sometimes, esp. when light is contrasty. Manual focus over ride not finely tuned enought.

Good light weight SLR, easy to use, don't need poitn and shoot if you have this.

This camera is a great camera for those wanting great
pictures without much fuss... it has settings for different
subjects - your only job is to have the right speed film for
the subject.
