Strength:
Uses 2AA Batteries. Cannot count the times when dead (camera) batteries killed a shoot in the middle of nowhere. AA's from Walk Man/Mini Mag saved bacon many times.
Weakness:
Can not disable winder. Scares the hell out of wild life and annoy's priests at weddings. Picked up my T70 after friend found it in pawn shop. Best $'s I have spent in a long time. Have been watching E-bay for back-up. Of all the things it does and does well, it lives on AA batteries. God save us from $15 camera batteries. Customer Service Not needed! Strength:
-3 different programs for effortless shooting
Weakness:
-Viewfinder display does not show shutter speed My dad gave me his EF when I started photography. I fell in love with it, it has a great feel and takes great pictures. I don't want anything to happen to it. My dad also loves the EF, and if something did happen to it, I can only imagine what would happen to me. I wanted a camera that I could take all over without fear of my dad killing me. I went to a swapmeet and I saw the T70. It was easy to use, felt good, in perfect condition, and 100 dollars! I thought about it and decided to get it. I am glad I bought it. I'd recomend it to any beginner, or a casual user like me who wants a great reliable 2nd camera. -Weight (found it to be kind of heavy when travelling) What can I say. I bought the camera in A+ condition, original box, manuals, 25mm-70mm lens, 50mm lens, flash and case for $250. It was a GREAT camera, shot A LOT of outdoor photos and even my sisters wedding. She reprinted more of mine than her photographer that she hired. After having two kids and trying to carry it around with all the other stuff, it became to cumbersome. Unfortunately, I sold it still in A+ condition and miss the heck out of it. If you have one, don't sell it! You'll miss it. I replaced the AA batteries once every 2 years!!! Never had a problem with the LCD. I spent a total of $500 on the camera with some extra accessories and sold it 10 years later for $500! For those that know T-70's know that it is a great camera! If you are a beginner or advanced photgrapher, you'll love this camera. Living in Florida, mine went to the beach, dropped in sand, mist sprayed from the ocean and NEVER I repeat NEVER was affected by the elements. Just for the grain of sand that entered my camera. Customer Service -never used it. When I needed customer service, they recommended a local repair shop. I had one grain of sand stuck in the gear for the advace winder. The repair shop returned it fixed with dirt inside the view finder. So I wouldn't blame Canon Similar Products Used: AE-1 |

Strength:
- Inexpensive
Weakness:
- No depth of field preview Picked this one up off a bargain table, originally had cracked battery latch. Was able to purchase new bottom plate, which curiously changed serial number of camera. Haven't had any problems with it, or any of my Canon cameras. I've had this one for about 2 years and shot about 30 rolls through it. Good camera for the money. Customer Service Never needed service for any of my Canon cameras so far. (knock on wood) Similar Products Used: Canon F1/A-1/FTb |

Strength:
1. Runs on AAs! You can get the batteries anywhere or scavenge from your flash when you need to.
Weakness:
1. Extremely noisy motor-drive and film-rewind (every thief in the vicinity looks your way when you use it but it may be cured with silicon grease on the drive gears as I have been told they are plastic) I had a T70 a year ago. I bought it to go to South America as I wanted the reliability of a Manual focus camera. I had been advised by a professional that in the sandy and dusty SA west coast and jungle AF lenses can cause problems. I bought it for US$70 incl. a terrible Tokina 80-200mm macro and a 28mm wide-angle. I never regretted it (except the lenses) until I had it stolen in Perú. The thing was very reliable and relatively simple with most of the features you need on a beginner's SLR. The one problem I experienced was that the lens mounting ring on the camera came loose due to vibration while traveling. Other people have also experienced this problem but it is very easy to fix if you have some jeweller's screwdrivers and a little bottle of loktite. You remove the top cover followed by the front cover (after removing the lens). Some of the screws are in strange places (one also holds the film-door latch in place) but if you are careful and don't stick your screwdriver in the electronics you will be fine. All you have to do is unscrew the screws holding the metal lens retaining ring a little (they will probably be loose), apply a drop of loktite to the threads of each and tighten them up firmly. Customer Service Did it myself as Canon do not service these models now. Similar Products Used: Nothing in the same price-bracket which does the same job |

easy to use.
Weakness:
noisy shutter & winder! I bought this as a replacement for my dead AE-1. While I like it, it isn't the best for sports photography. I really need a T90! Good camera for beginners too. Customer Service none from Canon - others still repair the T-series! Similar Products Used: Canon AE-1 (nice) |

T-70
Strength:
With the T-70, I've learned how to shoot photographs. It has a nice feature set but allows you to go fully manual if you want.
Weakness:
Although it's probably my fault, the bracket to which I attach my lenses is loose. Good utilitarian camera. No autofocus or any of the high-end bells and whistles, but for an old crapper, it's a great camera with which to learn the trade. Similar Products Used: None |

T-70
Strength:
The T-70 was the very first camera that I owned. I entered a local photo contest and I won the camera. It became a very good friend. So, when my rental car was stolen in Miami, with my friend in the car, I had a hard time finding a decent replacement. The guy at Henry's tried to sell me on the T-50, but I could see right away that it was just a sad rip-off of the former. The led window is easy to reas and to understand. You don't need to constantly refer to your owners manual, like the T-90. I could take pictures of my favourite T.V. stars, it has a T.V. setting, and I can switch from automatic to manual quickly. A nice light camera that feels very comfortable in my hands. I use a flash with a bracket, but one can be mounted on the body as well. The camera also has a built in metering system that worked faily well. I tend to rely on my hand held meter.
Weakness:
The AA batteries would get used up pretty quickly because of the automatic load, wind and rewind features. An easy to use camera that a beginner would find manageable, yet a pro might find fun to use. Reliable and Fun Customer Service Never had a problem. Similar Products Used: Minolta AE |
