Strength:

Light Weight, Easy to use, Feature Filled

Weakness:

Too Many Features?? I'm having trouble remembering how to change functions, I think this is my problem, not the camera's ;-)

Not having bought a new camera in over 20 years, I made the leap and decided to get the XTsi. I was not disappointed! This camera takes great pictures and is easy to handle.

Strength:

Got a good deal, had a tripod and bag thrown in. More than enough functions to keep a beginner occupied.

Weakness:

My big hands - does anyone know if a battery pack/grip is available?

A fantastic camera suitable for beginners up to intermediate level users. Couldn't really ask for anything else.

Strength:

Many features, small and compact for travelling, great looking, all for a great price. No other make compares to this minolta for the price.

Weakness:

Depth of field preview
would be nice to have.
AF little slow.

LOOK! the bottom line is this. If your looking
for a reliable camera with many features that looks great and your not a professional photographer, then you will NOT find any other camera that comes close to this one at this $$$price. Yes, there are bigger, better and greater cameras out there, but how much are you willing to spend. Lets face the facts, most people are not pros photographing for sports illustred. This camera gives you the comfort of simplicity with the ability to produce great photography. You can't go wrong...

Strength:

Great Features - Panaromic was the best !

Weakness:

Autofocus slow / not very precise at close ups

Great camera if you want to try several tricks, may have to get an additional book though, to understand ALL the features , great compatibility with Tamaron / Sigma ZOOM Lenses, works great even for a non-pro.

Strength:

Precise metering, full of features, value for money, light weight and easy to operate

Weakness:

No depth of field preview

Enough features to keep beginners and amateur photographers occupied for years. It is a great camera for travelling due to its light weight. The metering is so precise that I hardly use the spot metering. AF is OK but nothing to shout about. With its price range, nobody can go wrong with this camera.

Strength:

A good all-around camera. Has lots of tricks up its sleeves. A casual user will find it easy to operate and the pro might too!

Weakness:

Lack of Depth of Foeld preview....Needs to be resloved. But even though the AF is a bit slow...It's not so bad.

I find this camera a great deal for the money. It is consistant and hold a heep of power for the person who can use it. I still find myself amazed with the complaint many people have for a light-tite box. This is pretty smart...if you have a limited budget, give it a try.

Customer Service

Customer service was great...and I have found a place for this camera body in my bag....
