Strength:
Lightweight, compact size (for a AF camera), viewfinder readout, metering selection, good fit/finish, Nikon optics.
Weakness:
Some of the dials/buttons have a slight cheapness or plastic feel. The autofocus is fast and accurate. I like the built in option of a grid focus screen and the viewfinder information is well laid out and easy to understand. The compact size and weight makes it easy to pack for outdoor use, but I'm not sure how it will hold up to the elements. A lot of features in an AF camera for the money, I think Nikon has a real winner on their hands. Customer Service Have not had any experience with Nikon service. Not sure how long this camera will last will it still be working in 20 years? An excellent camera easy to use, for an advanced amateur to a professional for a second camera. Have experience with Leica M2 which was a tank for over 30 years wonder if all those electronics will stand up. Customer Service Haven't had to use it. Similar Products Used: Nikkormat, Leica M2 |

Metering!
Weakness:
For me, none! Wow! What a great camera. I have been searching for a new camera to replace my aging manual Pentax. The Nikon N80 had every feature I wanted at a price I was willing to pay. Has many of the features and capabilities of the F100 at half the price (the main difference is limited support of manual lenses. I don't need it!) Composite construction (stronger and more flexible than steel) is great with steel rigitity in the right places! Buy it if you can find it! Customer Service N/A Similar Products Used: Pentax Super Program, Canon Elan II and A2, Minolta 800si, Nikon F70 |

Strength:
I found the feel of the N80 more natual then the Elan IIe and its ease of use unmatched. I do a lot of manual work when I'm playing around and creating effects. The N80's aperture and shutter command dials make this incredibly easy to do.
Weakness:
-none- The best camera in its class. Customer Service n/a Similar Products Used: N70, Elan IIe |

Strength:
User friendly
Weakness:
Dopler adjustment As a beginner, I wanted a camera that had most all the features of a professional camera so I didn't have to upgrade to a better one anytime soon after my purchase. I started taking pictures right out of the box. The camera takes great pictures and so far I've only used the program mode. It feels great in my hands. I'm looking forward to becoming quite an serious amateur and I won't need another camera for awhile. Customer Service None Similar Products Used: Nikon N60 |

Strength:
Light and small, Fantastic AF system for the price.
Weakness:
Not quite as well built as F100 or F5 (Plastic) Awesome. The N80 is an amazing camera. AF is a little slow with non AF-S lenses when compared to the F100 or F5, but still fast for it's class. Metering is great and the AE biases the shutter speed/aperture combination depending on how you are shooting. Love It! Similar Products Used: Nikon N50, N8008s, F4s |

Strength:
Very good metering with excellent flash system. Nice hold and feel to body. Excellent exposure control and a pretty decent viewfinder and a great grid layout.
Weakness:
Not able to use older Nikon lenses because the light meter won't work. Very good camera, and I have to be among those fans who agree with the label as hottest camera on the market right now. Two thumbs up, because I just have two thumbs. A bit on the $$ side though. Customer Service Always decent customer service with Nikon Similar Products Used: N70, F100 |
