Strength:

pretty pocket-sized

Weakness:

bad picture quality red eye can't get film out mid-roll like claim

Picture quality from this camera was far below my expectations. I made the mistake of taking important pictures of my infant son (in the hospital, trip home) and they were ruined. Anyone would be much better off with a simple disposable 35mm. Almost all pictures have demonic red eyes and the edges of all the photos are dark and shadowy. I thought it might be the film or the developer, but after trying fuji and kodak, at least 4 different places, 1hr and standard time, i've accepted the fact that it's the camera. This camera is very pretty and very compact, but it's picture quality is very bad.

Strength:

Small. Loads of features. Tiny. Great pictures (lens has 2 aspheric elements). Petite. APS format is very user friendly. It''s the smallest camera I have ever seen. Very stylish. Need I say S M A L L again ?

Weakness:

Red eye reduction feature doesn''t really help. I have quite a few otherwise wonderful pictures. It took me some time but I finally found a solution. A small piece of semi-matt paper on the flash acts as a diffuser and solves the problem.

This one is a gem. It''s smaller than a cigarette pack yet produce wonderful pictures. Enlarged to 15X21cm they are indistinguishable from my SLR (with a 50mm prime lens !!!). That was quite a surprise for me considering the fact that APS format has about 30% disadvantage when compared to 35mm. Originally I bought it for my wife - who wanted a small P&S - but it has soon become an essential part of our go-anywhere kit (alongside the diapers et al....). Style is another big plus. It''s just cute. The only downside I have encountered is the red eye problem. However, it is so easily remedied (see below) that I decided to give it a 5 star overall rating anyway. Also, APS is more expensive than 35mm but then again, I usually carry my SLR along with me so it''s not so bad. To sum it up : If you intend to shoot a lot of pictures, and P&S is going to be your only camera, I think a 35mm one is a better option (economically speaking). However, if you already have an SLR and just want an addition, go get yourself one. You''ll never regret it.

Strength:

Rugged, small, light, pocket-size Easy to use, "fool-proof" Some of the features are useful

Weakness:

Moderate to poor quality of pics (It''s APS!) APS is expensive (film & developing) Film remains in cartridge when processed, you cannot see the negatives Flash too close to the lens (red eyes)

A small, compact and relatively rugged camera for occasional photography. The quality of the pics is moderate in traditional format, and poor in panorama format (only a part of the frame is used, unless in wide-angle format). The range of the zoom corresponds to app. 28 - 55 mm in 35 mm format, which is too short for me. In some situations, the metering tends to overexposure. At low focal lengths, sometimes significant distortions. Some of the features are gimmicks. My advice: if you want a P&S, choose a 35 mm. Some of them are only 30% bigger in size, but 200% better in picture quality

Strength:

small size, the heaviness makes it durable and good to take on camping/hiking trips without worry. i plan on using it all snowmobile season long, tucked in my suit pocket

Weakness:

???

I develope film for a living and see many rolls (appr 250-300) come through my one hour photo every day. This little camera takes some nice clear pictures that are better than some p&s and all one time use cameras. ive seen some from other people with this camera and they have been great. One girl said she had problems with red eye at night, but i have had no problems. nor with getting good pictures at night, now that fuji has the 800 speed out for aps.

Strength:

Small, light and of good quality... what more can I say?

Weakness:

Difficult to hold due to the size.

I bought this camera for my mom. She needs all the features that makes things easy coz she finds even loading 35mm film a chore. My mom never blows-up the pictures she takes so I thought APS would be enough. I just tested it if it would work, and what could I say. I''m overall very impressed. Sharpness on Nexia 200 is spectacular for an inexpensive tiny camera. I regularly use a Contax 645 so this is a great compliment. For those who want something small, cheap, and good... this is the camera for you. BTW, I only shot in HDTV format, which as far as I know takes the most advantage of the exposeable area of APS. Verdict: I''m sure my mom would be fond of this thing. It fits on her bag, it''s easy to use, and it looks chic.

Strength:

extremely compact
takes great shots
can put titles on the back of the print
can put date and time on the front or the back of the print
you can specify how many prints to make of a certain shot befor it's developed.

Weakness:

buttons are small (my husband has a hard time using it)
Has great features like putting titles on theback of the print but I have yet to find a photofinisher that can do this.

For a die-hard 35mm and medium format user this camera is amazing! I wanted something I could always cary around in my purse. This camera takes wonderful shots it's very simple to use, and has good features. For "smapshot" photos you cannot tell the difference between this cameras photos and a 35mm. Please note: In reading some of the other reviews about photos being washed out, that is in the prosessing not the camera. You can bring a photo to 10 different places and get 10 very different looking results. Always use a good photofinisher and if you have a photo you do not think should look as it does please ask them to reprint it or bring it somewhere else. Most point and shoot cameras take great photos it's hard not to. If you get a bad photo (except for focusing problems) more than likely the photo printer did a bad job!

Strength:

Small, almost excellent built quality, fast shutter, nice (auto) speed selection

Weakness:

Limited and variable lens f speed. It would be far better camera with just a standard f28/2.8 lens for example.
Small and antiergonomic rear panel selection buttons.

Nice camera to have in your pocket anytime. Although its flash power isn't too much it's nice have it in fixed position instead of earlier popup designs. The camera actually is an(expensive) toy for fetichists. But it's also a very good P&S if you like APS and metal construction.
I bought it because i liked to have one when i first saw it. After some months i still like it.
Buy it as a present for people you love and who like jewels.

Strength:

Small size, durability, ease of use. The zoom, while only 2x, comes in handy. The portability is a major plus -- you can easily carry it around without obviously looking like a tourist.

Weakness:

None found yet.

This is an excellent P&S camera. I bought it to take with me to Amsterdam, and it performed extremely well. With the minor exception of a few shots that encountered "user error", the three rolls I shot all turned out beautifully (using Fuji 200 film and processing). Friends and relatives can't get over the quality of the shots this camera takes.

Strength:

unbelievable small size
gem-like quality
satin-metal finish
quick lens zoom-lever action
idiot proof loading
wow factor from others

Weakness:

pricey
good-medium quality photos w/Fujifilm
color balance gets bleaced out in high contrast situations

I've taken it to Washington State where the sun don't shine too brightly with Fuji 200ASA - great panoramic shots with decent color. However, in Estes Park, CO some of the lighter hues/colors are bleached out. Those of you who are really into detail will find the APS film quality slightly unacceptable compared to 35mm. But the size and convenience is a major plus for me.
