Strength:

The packaging is great. The size is fabulous and it is so cute!! Everyone wants to check it out. The design is so sexy.

Weakness:

no

Like I said the package this camera comes in is unbeatable. It is tiny, portable, durable and elegant. BUT I was underwhelmed with the vacation photos I took with this camera. The photos were washed out and not as sharp or contrasty as I would like. My throwaway Konica took photos good enough to publish in a glossy magazine but these photos would never do. The photos were adequate and that is all. I thought all the photos looked a little washed out, just enough to be noticeable. The panorama shots really sucked. They were super grainy and just ho-hum. Enough to know what you were looking at but not beautiful. The photos did not wow me like the physical camera itself. Also the developing costs for APS were outrageous! This gets more and more expensive the longer I keep the camera. I was almost relieved to have lost the camera.

Strength:

Small size, great picture quality, mid-roll film change, wow factor

Weakness:

buttons are very small, for older people this may be difficult to operate

I've had this camera for a month now, and I love it. The Rebel has a better picture, but it is SO much bigger! If I take pictures around the house or in town, I use the Rebel. But if I go away (like I just did) nothing beats the Elph! Not only is the picture quality great, but people all over were amazed by it.

I think $299 is a bit much. I ordered mine online with a coupon for $130. Well worth the money. The quality I feel in the little camera is amazing.

This camera is so fun to use because it feels so great. I can carry it in my pocket wherever I go. Everyone wants to check it out as well too. The picture quality is great. You can also swap out the film no problem. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who likes to travel and take pictures.

An amazing camera! This camera has a very substantial feel despite its small size. All controls are intuitive to use and operate (for example the zoom ring surrounds the shutter release & all functions are monitored via a small LCD panel at the rear of the camera).

Picture quality is astounding. Using Fuji Nexia 200 ASA photos are very sharp and clear even in panoramic mode.

I've used 35mm SLR's (Nikon, Pentax & Minolta) exclusively until I purchased this camera and cannot tell a major difference in photo quality.

If you're looking for a moderately priced camera that does everything well look no further. It's a winner!

Weakness:

No Date/Time of titles

I bought this camera like 6 month ago. The picture quality is OK but i never got date/time or titles on the prints. I tried various places getting the film processed like walmart (Fuji), costco(kodak) but still no date/time. Can anyone let me know where i should get it processed to get the date/time titles etc.

Strength:

Small size, light-weighted
Easy to use
Date/frame no. at picture backside, if film is properly processed
mid-roll change

Weakness:

Zoom range too short
Very blurry pictures with the 'P' format
Sharpness limited
Lens may distort, esp. when photographing people
Bleaching of colors when contrast is high
no exposure correction
shutter release operates in a retarded manner

My advice: if you want a small P&S camera, buy one for 35 mm film (better sharpness, lower cost for film and processing, more brilliant colors; cameras with very small size available); also, with APS, negatives remain stored in the film roll; you need an index sheet for finding your frames

Strength:

Technically-none. Even the body structure is weak. A slight bang and there's a dent in it.

Weakness:

Picture quality is basically crap I could get sharper snaps from my old 15 year canon sure shot.

I really don't know what the rave is about. Size does not matter, it's the picture quality bottomline, besides our handbags nowadays are generously sized to house a battleship. Dump it.

red-eye reduction could be better, flash is weak
small buttons , requires pen to push

had great pictures using this on my trip to new zealand. panarama, classic & portait shots came out great. didn't experience the graininess that some did.
highly recommended, only thing is buttons are small and red-eye could be improved as i still had red eye pictures, probably the weakness of the flash .but photo quality is top notch .

Strength:

Ultra small, 2 to 1 zoom lens, excellent workmanship, terrific viewfinder, convenient, fits in my shirt pocket
I like this camera for what it is - small, always ready, convenient, and pretty good quality, particularly in sunny situations.

Weakness:

Pictures not as good as a 35mm, can never get date on pictures, flash too inefective, red eye a problem.

To have a camera always available and small enough to fit in my shirtpocket and pretty good quality is the reason I love this camera, along with its appearance. It is well made and looks it.

Customer Service

Great. Camera film door jammed, they fixed it in 10 days under warranty.

Strength:

compact and light weight, sharp pictures, people think I paid a fortune for it. Contrary to what others may think, I feel the camera has a fairly rugged case.

Weakness:

If anything, the flash could be improved. However, this sort of thing could be expected from a miniature camera

This is a great camera for the money! I travel quite often and have replaced my bulky 35 mm SLR with the ELPH 2. It fits in my pocket and gives excellent quality photos, no matter what format is selected. The bad report from England is unjustified. I think the guy just had a faulty unit.

Customer Service

Never had a problem
