Strength:

Fits in your pocket
Great lens for PS

Weakness:

No forced fill flash unless you hold the tiny flash buttons
Bulb setting requires you to push shutter relase 2x - no screw in shutter release ability.
No zoom
No filters to screw on

Very good camera and the price is coming down!!
The lens is very good but still not as sharp as my other SLR optics. This is not really noticeable until you enlarge the prints beyond 11x14 which I do for outdoor photos.
You are also limited because you cant use filters with this camera - a big problem if you are shooting outdoors and want really clear quality pictures for enlargments. The flash buttons are really annoying on the 35ti - the 28ti has a nicer slider switch. This is a great camera for a point and shooter that also on occasion wants to use the aperature settings as well. This will NOT replace an SLR for true outdoor photos regardless of what ever one else has been saying in their report. Without the zoom and filters you are very limited and certain pictures will not be possible (high elevation shots or desert sceenery) without those nice filters.

Strength:

Small! Easy to carry and feels REAL solid! AND you can shut the flash off with a computer mode built into the camera. THEN you can mess with that little button when you want to take a flash photo!

Weakness:

View finder takes some getting use to with my glasses.

I got a deal on the one I bought, I don't think I would have paid as much as they cost when they first came out. It is a delight just to hold this camera. If you love Nikon then you will love this camera...

Strength:

Great looks, solid construction, sharp & fast lens.

Weakness:

Tends to overexpose, cluttered viewfinder, eats batteries.

Generally not as satisfying as the Contax T-2. Needs a new battery after about a roll and a half. Good camera, but overly pricey.

Strength:

Small. Compact. Cute. Titanium finish. Analog. User-friendly. Panoramic capability. Sharp lens. Close focusing capability. Reliable metering system.

Weakness:

Eats a lot of battery. Flash cancel button is a problem for people with massive hands. Might irritate friends and colleagues due to shutter lag. Unreliable self-timer.

You either love or hate this camera due to its some unique features. I like it for its razor-sharp lens; I hate it because I always struggle with the flash cancel button. There is an apparent lens distortion when shooting at close range, but compensated by stunning color rendition of the lens.

This was Tommy Lee Jones' camera in the courtroom drama: "Rules of Engagement". Enlarged photos shown in the movie as exhibits are incredibly sharp (if Hollywood didn't do some manipulation on the images).

I like this camera, in spite of its weaknesses- I got good photos of my mother-in-law (surprised!).

Strength:

Sexy, retro styling
Durable, titanium body
Sharp optics
Incredible metering system

Weakness:

Too heavy to carry in shirt pocket.

Pricy
No filters or off-camera flash :(

The 3d matrix meter in this little camera is very accurate-nothing like it in a compact camera..anywhere. Sharp, contrasty lens, and great looks.

Customer Service

Strength:

Great styling with the analog dials
Fast lens and very sharp optics compared to other posh point and shoots. A lot of manual capability (for a point and shoot)

Weakness:

Bumped the camera and it stopped working.

I have taken this camera on trips throughout Europe and it has taken very sharp pictures. The optics are amazing. Even my slide pictures have had amazing quality. I would rank this with a mid-level SLR but with much less bulk. Single focal length is limiting but great for scenics (especially 28ti).

Customer Service

OK, they did replace my camera.

Weakness:

sluggish auto-focus, extreme high battery usage, camera developed problems after only one year of very gentle use.

what a lemon! Too bad Nikon didn't put as much time and energy into the guts of this camera as they did into the very cool styling. Don't be fooled!

Customer Service

lousey, camera started double-exposing at certain shutter speeds, no repair in sight

Strength:

Consistent results. Perfect exposures even in difficult situations. Aperture or shutter priority exposures.

Weakness:

Lens softer than the best SLR lenses when comparing side by side.

If the best camera is one you are happy to takes every way all the time and totally trust to gives consistent results every time then this have to be one of them. The lens is sharp and the exposure is totally spot on all the time. As I started using Nikon SLR lenses long ago the results are comparable. I am happy even taking personal slides with it. There are very few compact cameras that allow you to control the aperture and shutter speed for the effects that you choose.

Customer Service

Not broken in the last 2 years yet.

Strength:

The 28Ti is the best camera I have used in years due to its size and quality. Since it is small I carry it with me wherever I go (which I was not doing with my F3), and the lens is the best I've ever seen in a point and shoot.

Weakness:

Shutter lag is sometimes a problem.

This is THE BEST point and shoot style camera, pricey but since I am shooting more, worth every penny.

Strength:

Solid body, classic look, sharp lens,
Correct exposure.

Weakness:

The buttom for fill flash is a pain.

Yes, the bottom for fill flash is a pain.
But I'm so satisfied with its performance for a P&S camera.
I have a F5 and many expensive lenses, but 35Ti is my "personal" camera.
I can't go out without bringing it.
I'm trying to buy a 28Ti too. So you know how I love it!

Customer Service
