Strength:
Great colour, fine grain, loads of exposure tolerance - if you are up to two f-stops out it will still be a good picture.
Weakness:
You need to find a good lab to get the best out of this film. If you do not see a difference over Kodak 100, consumer Fuji 100 then ask your friends or at a photo club for someone to recommend a lab that is good. I''ve found the best results are when printed onto Fuji Crystal Archive paper. Fantastic film. Has been great to use in many situations, from wedding portraits, landscapes, close-ups. Strength:
Smooth grain, renders skintone well.
Weakness:
Need to find the right developer Brillant film but not every devloper can do justice to it. Screw ups in the past include magneta shift and horrible reds. (orange overcoat turned into red) Not really the film''s fault but other films that I tried did not screw up nearly as often... To be fair though, when it works, no other product can beat the smooth grain and skintone. Similar Products Used: Fuji NPH, X-tra 400 Kodak Royal Gold 100, Gold 100, 160NC, 400VC |

Strength:
Very fine grain
Weakness:
Too warm skin tone, expensive, a little slow for medium format. 1er: Here in Canada, Fuji is more expensive than Kodak. 2er: I remarked when I take somes pictures of nordic (pale)peoples, theirs skin appear too much warm, too red.I asked the lab to make somes corrections but it''''s seem to be a tendency of the film itself. Strength:
I used to use Reala and then switched over to slide film(Velvia mostly) for the superiour colour reproduction. However I bought myself a Nikon LS2000 scanner recently and now my best scans are coming from my old Reala negs! Superb until now unseen colour, exposure latitude and sharpness. I would like to spend a bit more time working with the new Provia f100 but am seriously thinking about going back to Reala.
Weakness:
Non other than the inherit weakness of editing negative film. Any suggestions? Have always liked this film but now really see it in a new light. Literally. Customer Service Not needed Similar Products Used: Konica Impressa 50 |

Strength:
Good Resolution, and very fine grain, Very real colour. skin tone colour excellent
Weakness:
weak colour saturation when compared to slide film. This is a good film for potrait but when used for landscape, it doesn't meet my expectation when compared to other cheaper films. It also produce a soft image, like using a soft filter. Bottom line, this is a good film for potrait especially when you want to enlarge it. However it is not recommended for landscape photography as it produce a weak and soft colours. Similar Products Used: Fuji superia 100, kodak royal gold, kodak100, NPS 160 |

Fujicolor Reala 100
Strength:
This and Agfa 160 are the most accurate color for skin tones, especially non-caucasian. Ultra fine grain, can go as high as 16X20 fr. 35mm.
Weakness:
Color shift on skin tones with skylight filters and some strobes toward magenta.Lower contrast than some people like, but much more accurate. I have used this film since it first came out, and though I think it's not as accurate as it used to be, due to "improvement", it's still better than just about anything else. Strength:
Beautiful color. Extremely fine grain.
Weakness:
Availability. I had to mail-order it from Adorama. This is an excellent film with beautiful color and super-fine grain. The price is right, too... I bought 6 rolls from Adorama camera (http://www.adoramacamera.com/) for around $2.50/roll for 24 exposure rolls. The pictures are just gorgeous. To see some of the pics I took with this film go to http://www.willworkforfood.net/~mattg/ and click on the "Dallas Zoo" gallery. Customer Service Haven't needed it.
