Strength:

great all-around film; if you are traveling and only want one type of film (cheaper to buy in bulk), this will work well both indoors and outside in most conditions. I used this for 90 rolls of film over 11 month in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, and produced some impressive shots. It has amazingly fine grain for a 400 film, and under proper conditions can blow up to 11x14 size (just begins to show grain at this point).

Weakness:

can be very contrasty. Interestingly, for me, reds, especially in flowers, tend to look very unnatural and contrasty.

good all-purpose travel film

Customer Service

I've had tons of problems when my fuji film was sent to fuji (from LA to whereever they process it)-- they destroyed one roll out of 20 from a previous trip, and I had to send the pics back 3-4 times because of dust spots. I wish the store had listened to me and done the job in-house!

Strength:

A great "all around" film. Does everything well, can be counted on to give reliable results in many different situations. Best film for a point and shoot.

Weakness:

None

If you use a point and shoot, buy this film and forget about it. It is extremely fine grained and colorful. It is a bread and butter kind of film that can be counted on for good results in most every situation. If I am in the drugstore, in a hurry and need film right then, this is what I buy. A good value, and perfect for point and shoot cameras. I use an SLR but always have a roll or two rolling around in my camera bag.

Sharp, great color, good latitude

Weakness:

None really

As someone who grew up believing 400ASA color films were special purpose, this film is changing my mind. I now use it as my standard print film and am very pleased. Much cheaper than Kodak equivalent (Royal 400) especially when bought in bulk from B+H (less than $3 per roll of 36).
