Kodak Gold 200 Print Film

Kodak Gold 200 Print Film

DESCRIPTION

Kodak Gold 200 is great film for bright or partly sunny conditions. It provides a refined combination of color saturation, color accuracy, and sharpness in a 200-speed film.

Strength:

Excellent colors, skin and plant.

Weakness:

none that I could see

We had a relative take pictures of our wedding and he used this film. The pictures turned out beautifully in mixed lighting situations. We haven't enlarged any pics yet but expect to get good results up to 8x10.

Strength:

Sharp, excellent color.

Weakness:

none.

Skin tone is excellent, as well as other colors.
It's my choice for general usage, if I need 200 ISO color print film. Normally I either shoot 100 for sharpness/saturation, or 400 for the shutter speed. But it's hard to find diference between 200 and 100 from color prints, even enlarged to 8x10. So I'm using more 200 than before. I think it's an excellent film for many P&S camera users. Comparing it with other film in the same class, I give it full stars.

Strength:

Bright colors, realistic colors, sharp, no grain seen at 8x10. Brings out color on overcast day

Weakness:

none

Just started using a new Nikon N65. Used to not pay attention to what film I bought(big mistake). Now I decided to compare films. The photostore people recomended Fuji enthusiastically so I tried HG and superia first. Thought it looked OK until I tried Kodak gold. This was what I was looking for. Bright, realistic, warm colors, no grain and very sharp detail. Love this stuff!

Strength:

Great color. Cheap price. What grain???

Weakness:

Too bad it's not a slide film

My refrigerator is stocked with this stuff. I think it's the best film on the market for prints when compared to others at same price. Blow-ups were very nice. Wedding was crystal clear. Worked great with my flash.

Strength:

Easily Available
Cheap
Great skin tones
Can be very sharp

Weakness:

Not that good for Landscape pictures

After taking almost 10 rolls of film, I am quite satisfied with the quality of this film. My 10x12 enlargements looks great. Most of my friends uses Fuji which IMHO is great for landscape but not for Portrait (I find that it gives a very cold looking skin tone color) . Which is why I prefer Kodak (Great for Skin tones, ok for landscape).

Strength:

Very good and overall color contrast for this price - very smooth and fine grain for 4x6 print (barely noticible). Works ok with variety of lighting situation. I shoot mostly outdoors - and medium lighting condition (late afternoon my favorite)

Weakness:

None yet! With price range - better than average.

Ideal for price-concern casual users and outdoor low-light photography.

Warm Tones
Great for reds
Night shots came out well

Weakness:

Brightens greens
Poor at outdoor high color contrasts

Film works great for portraits, more flattering colors for your subjects. Outdoor contrast (green and blue tones) were okay, but green tended to be a light yellow. Pictures came out great for red rocks at midday. Basically a great print film for portraits and lighter warmer tones.

Strength:

Warm Color, better than average Satutation, Pushable

Weakness:

warm color

This is definitely a warm color film. great for taking picture that you want a warm tone to.

Definitely pay attention to the lab that you go to. This film is less dependent on good processing. When properely developed even at a Fuji lab, this film is just as great as some professional film.

I toke this film to a wal-mart once and pushed 1 stop. I guess the guy who ran the film knew what he/she is doing and the result came out SUPER on the good Fuji paper.

Customer Service
