My favourite film. Its colors are always natural, and contrast is never too hard or too soft. I recommend it to those who don't need specific results, and want to save some money.

Strength:

Great film at a great price!

Weakness:

Colors and definition get a little odd on very long exposures

This film has given me much better results for my landscape phtography than anything else I have tried, including many print films. The greens and reds are excellent. Wonderful for fall colors! I have used it for nighttime photos, and like the 'artistic' way the colors and definition turn out. Hard to beat for the price, and seems very consistent. Highly recommended for those on a budget, and first time slide film users who want to achieve great results right off.

Strength:

It's a terrific slide film. Better than you'd expect for a consumer grade product. It has nice tonal range, decent saturation with true colors (under most circumstances, & retains good definition. Not to be compared to Velvia, but much better than Kodak's similar products.

Weakness:

Shadow areas tend to go black, in a hurry.

It's a really good film. Very similar to Fuji Astia. (Consumer version) It may not have the "pop" of Velvia, but it has better overall tonal equality than the old Provia ... & not as harsh.

Strength:

E-6 processing, accurate colours even for skin tones. Acceptable incorrect exposure tolerance.

Weakness:

None that I have found so far.

A very good film with very low grain and accurate colour rendering. Excellent for everyday use. Price range is just right.

Strength:

Inexpensive
Good color balance
Very sharp
Availability

Weakness:

Modest color saturation

A really excellent, readily available, very affordable consumer slide film. Compared to Kodak Elite II, color is more balanced but less saturated, but can be punched up with a polarizer. For the price, you really can't go very wrong. Latitude is about what you would expect for a slide film: it doesn't hurt to bracket a half-stop over & under, but really performs best at or just below the typical automatic metered exposure.

A dependable, honest, and affordable everyday slide film.

Strength:

Good color balance. Fine grain.

Pushes to 200. Gets very magenta, though, if you try an EI of 400 with a two-stop push. I'd say that 250 or 320 is the maximum.

Weakness:

None to speak of.

A good general-purpose film. This film and EliteChrome 100 are two basic staples, and they seem to get better and better with each new version.

Customer Service

I had a question, and the rep at the end of the 800# was knowledgeable about pushing.

Strength:

I'ts very nice to use for an all round film. Works great with the zone system.

Weakness:

None if exposed correctly.

Great all round film.. If photographing flowers in full sunlight, try -0.5EV to -1.0EV This way the flowers won't have overexposed highlights and you'll get alot more saturation in color. The zone system works great.. also breaking the zone rules with slides and metering a black subject such as black boots or HiFi system and underexposeing by 2-2.3 stops also works great.

Customer Service

Great results with E6 Pro Labs, Excellent color.
