Strength:

Powerful and easy to use. Stobe capability and flexible bound head.

Weakness:

No wireless capability.

Powerful and easy to use. Any EOS camera without ETTL should have this flash. If you do bounce flash often this is it.

Weakness:

Strength:

Strongly build, vertisale,

Weakness:

Intend to blast out one light aperture value too much.
Must be corrected by +/-

I am using Leica lenses on Canon EOS bodies (via Novoflex EOS/LER-adapters) - and I am getting super flash pictures. The Omnibounce
attachment is giving me some very nice skin tones.
Can be recommended highly.

Strength:

This is a great flash, much better then the sigma ef-430 st. The light is great with the omnibounce. It also makes the camera focus faster, when you use the AF-beam.
The buttons are big and good. The backlight is wery usefull.

Weakness:

Can be a little heavy when you use the hot-shoe extender 200.
(But if you workout a little, then it shouldn't be a problem)

This is the best flash for the Canon eos 1n, becouse it is dedicated for that camera. The light is great, and much more natural then the Sigma EF 430. The head is good becous it can turn left and right.
I've seen a review where a Truc sees that the flash is wery loud, that you can hear it zoom and fire. Well then he hasn't used the Sigma EF430, that is loud. More then twice as loud as the Canon Speedlite 540EZ. It's silent!!

Model Reviewed: Speedlite 540 EZ Flash

Strength:

This flash offers a good fill for the subject at a great distance; I've had success at =>10 meters. It really brightened up my indoor photos, so much more than the built-in flash on my Elan-II.

The swiveling feature is a REALLY nice option to have, especially when you want to bounce off flash and do a vertical shot!

Weakness:

When Canon asks you to let the flash rest for a few seconds between shots, do it! I shot an awards ceremony and had my flash die on me. Had to repair. Would like to see faster cap charging times on alkaline batteries, you'll get better performance from Ni-Cd. Eats batteries. Very expensive.

If you need distance in your flash, and you can afford the higher price tag (400$), then buy this bright star from Canon.

Customer Service

Canon has awesome support. James Sek in Diamond Bar is great.
