EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Lens
Strength:
A true "L" lens. Very fast, extremely sharp with extremely high contrast. Solid and light, much easier to hold than the heavy EF 80-200 2.8L and EF 70-200 2.8L. Optically outperforms the zooms because the use of fewer elements in fixed focal designs reduce flare and internal reflections.
Weakness:
None so far. A must choice for those who need medium telephoto range with uncompromising image quality and performance. The EF 70-200 2.8L zoom would be more flexible but it is heavy, bulky and costly. The EF 85 1.8 USM is an excellent short telephoto match for this lens to complete a portrait duo. Customer Service No problem since the first day of purchase. Similar Products Used: Nikkor AF 180 2.8 ED IF |

Strength:
I bought the mark 1 used at very good condition. Sharp and fast, well built and relatively light weight.
Weakness:
sliding lens hood too loose. Excellent 200mm lens. Real gem if you can find a good condition used unit. Similar Products Used: 70-200 2.8L |

Strength:
This is a very fast, very sharp lens which is a great buy for the quality it gives. I have gotten nothing but great results shooting with this lens.
Weakness:
Wish it would have come with a tripod ring. This lens would be appropriate for any photographer looking to get a fast telephoto lens at a great price. I think it's great that Canon has provided a lens of this quality at a price the non-professional photographer can afford. Now I am able to make images I could not before, in available light that my more "amateur" lenses could not touch. Customer Service Haven't had to use it. Similar Products Used: None. |

Strength:
One of the sharpest lenses that can be baught for reasonable money. Enormous contrast. Fine background blur. Lightweight, compact. Easy to keep clean. Generous lense shade.
Weakness:
None, really. One of the sharpest lenses in the world that can be baught for reasonable money. Fantastic contrast. Still lightweight and compact. Works well with both converters; x1,4 and x2. Most contrasty with the x1,4, though. The large aparture helps the AF on the camera work fast and efficient at marginal light. Superb in combination with EOS3 eye control autofocus! Gives stuning pictures of small wildlife, like frogs with 25 mm extender. Customer Service Canon got several excellent, but quite expensive service shops in my neighbourhood. Strength:
This lens is tack sharp and it produces photographs with great color and contrast. This is a real steal in the L line and it makes a great 280mm f4 with a 1.4 converter. This is a fast and quiet lens and it is fairly light in weight.
Weakness:
None This is a great lens for sports, street Photography, and head shots of people in crowds. You can beat the quality for the price. Great L lens for the price. Customer Service None required Similar Products Used: 80-200mm L |

Strength:
Its a great lens. According to its make, sharpness, value, fastness, nothing can be compared.
Weakness:
None. I have the 1st. version, because I like the built in hood. Its an awesome lens. Its so quiet and fast focused. Truely, its my gem. I am never gonna make it apart. When comes to quality of Canon's 'USM' and 'L' version, nothing can be found to its nearest quality. I am using all the prime lens instead of zooms, and this is my best investment. If you have a chance to get it, don't hesitate to buy it. It worth every bit of penny. I love this lens. Customer Service Never needed. Similar Products Used: EF 80-200mm |
