Customer service!!

This is the worst customer service I have dealt with in a long time. I ordered some magnet prints on November 27th for Xmas gifts. I tried to call them numerous times before Xmas and again today (Dec 29th) and there is no satisfaction to be had. The 3 times I actually got through to a person, the first one told me they would check on the order and send me an email that day. No email ever came. The 2nd person, disconnected me so I had to start over. Then on Dec 21 I reached a person who promised me this time I would receive an email within 24 hours, and I still haven't received one. Many times when I try to call the phone just rings and rings, not even a answering machine to pick it up. Then if you try to call back, you just get nothing... it automatically hangs up on you.

They sent me an email telling me my order was processed on Nov 27, and had a link to an 'online chat' for help... that link goes no where!!

Now I can't get a hold of anyone because the line just keeps going dead when you try to call. How in the hell are people supposed to get their orders straightened out when you can't even call them or email them!!!

Strength:

Online ordering was well organized and easy to follow.

Weakness:

Customer service. No one answers the phone and in the store no one seems to be able to track an order. It is not acceptable to say it is not here yet and we will call you when it comes in. they state if ordered by Dec 14th it will be ready by Christmas. Ordered the 12th and cant find out if, when or where it is. Every other online system has tracking systems in place, why doesn't Walmart for its own product. I know it is Christmas and it is busy but you have offer your customers answers, even if it is a disappointing one. Answer the damn phone! From the way this is going I'm sure i will have to return these do to poor quality.

Find somewhere to deal with on a more personal level. Sadly, no one cares here.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Ordered 3 calendars before Dec 14 (cut off date for Christmas). Should have been 5 days as stated online. Very short staffed at the photo counter and staff is extremely frustrated. No answer to where my product is or when it will arrive. Christmas comes every year...be prepared Walmart. I will shop elsewhere next year.

Everything else

Being an avid photographer , a graphic artist/designer and having spent many years in the Graphic Arts profession all I can say is that I look at what I print. I make sure it's going to print well and spend a lot of time choosing anything I enlarge. Well I had a photo that was printed without part of it making it on the image area of the photograph at Walmart. I see they have a disclaimer about cropping. That being said I've had the photo printed elsewhere and it was printed just fine with the image on the sheet. I will mention that the image area was mostly items on a white silhouette and a very standard size. Upon calling the local Walmart not only did the stores manager put blame on me but stated his employees did not look at what they print. I found that very hard to believe. I did the web chat thing and again I was informed the photo centre employees DO NOT LOOK AT WHAT THEY PRINT. I was told it was an automated system from online photos received printed and packaged without being looked at. I have used another chain store and their print was fine. After hearing this from a store manager and then a photo centre web chat employee , I decided to call a couple of local photo print places where I have done enlargements before sent in from an email or online form. Both of these places stated " We look at every photo printed." As a worker in the Graphic Arts field I cannot ever recall anything ever printed that did not have at least one pair of eyes on it checking to make sure it was not just for example a blank white sheet. You can't print anything without looking at it and expect it to be good enough to sell to a customer. It is not a cropping issue when an enlargement made and the image doesnt all appear on the print , it is pure human error. This has nothing to do with cropping it has to do with COMMON SENSE. It's obvious , if no eyes look at what's being printed that many , many errors go right out the door with no quality control whatsoever. Sure the price was right but that one print will cost the entire store my business as not looking at what's being printed and no quality control shows me that employees paid to do a job do not do it while at other stores they are dedicated to their work and take pride in what they do. Sorry Walmart but you cannot print without looking at it and by the way what do those employees do ? Throw them in an envelope and that's the entire skillset they use ? Come on, do your staff put rotten fruit on the shelves ? Do they put damaged good on shelves without noticing ? Do they even look at the floor when cleaning ? Common sense is non-existent with these people especially when a manger would say its your fault not once but twice more after being warned. That's nothing but ignorant and not looking at the prints is nothing but lazy. Walmart can say all they want about this but when two people not related in any way say they do not look at the prints , it's obvious they don't and should not be printing photos at all until they start to open there eyes.

Customer Service

Worst ever. My fault for not looking at it before leaving the store ? Ever been in a line up or busy store and look at photos before paying ? At least I have respect to not delay other people.

Strength:

Time, friendly service, easy of online-to-store, and overall quality of prints.

Weakness:

Overall coloring is off.

I placed an order for 4x6 and 8x10 which are easy prints that require no cut time. I placed the order online at 7:00pm and came by (since I was in the area) to pick up at 8:30. The one-hour prints were not ready as the photo center was overloaded and walmart.com was delaying the orders. If I had checked my email, I would have seen the delay email message. In any case, it was fine with me. The employees informed me it would be ready the next morning. The next morning I came back and it took the employee awhile to find the order. He even thought that the night shift employees had misplaced the prints and started printing my order again. When he found the order, he gave me the few extras that he printed too at no cost. I checked the entire order before leaving the photo area and found that my 8x10 was crinkled. I asked how long it would take for a reprint and he took care of the situation right away. Overall, the photos are on good photo paper but came out 25% darker than what I wanted. I still found the experience to be a good one. I would simply ask that people who had bad experiences to try another store. These prints cost very little and I think on cost/quality, walmart does a decent job.

Weakness:

Heres what happened: I ordered, my Christmas cards online. I choose in-store pickup with the text alert option to notify me when pick up is ready. I get two texts telling me my order was ready. I try calling to check but no one answers. I get to the store, wait in line for 30 minutes, until magically someone shows up to run the copy center. I continue to wait in line for another 15 minutes, when I get to the counter, I tell the guy my name, he says there is no order for me. I tell him I did it online. He says "I don't know what to tell you, the order isn't here" So, I show the guy my phone with my confirmation on it, he says "I don't know... cant do anything". So it take 45 min of getting taken from one supervisor to another, and then finally putting though the manager who say that I can put the order in at one of the little computers there in the center and they will reimburse me... so I drive home get my disc with the pictures on it, recreate the cards (of which they did not have the one I had originally chosen)... then wait another 20 min while the cards print...they come out making everyone look jaundice from too much yellow, and some are smeared... THEN THEY SAY I NEED TO PAY AGAIN IN ORDER TO GET MY REFUND!-- I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE, GO ANYWHERE ANYWHERE BUT HERE FOR QUALITY PHOTOS

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE. HORRIBLE QUALITY. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. NOT EFFICIENT. NOT WELL TRAINED. SLOW. RIDICULOUS. AND A WASTE OF MY TIME AND YOURS. BETTER OFF HAVING A 5 YEAR OLD PROCESS YOUR PHOTOS.

Weakness:

Poor quality prints. Painfully slow turnaround time. 2nd-day photo processing actually takes 5-7 days.

With thosands of Wal-Mart stores littering the country side, my hope was that the convience of submitting digital photos online for processing would be a breeze. That was not my experience. If you need quality prints, in a timely fashion, choose another photo processor.

Customer Service

Poorly trained staff.
