This might be a great alternative to purchasing expensive software. I have and use Lightroom 5, but never really learned to use Photoshop. Fortunately LR, with a couple of plugins, makes it convenient to catalog and process my RAW photos.

I will opt in on this with the goal of learning Photoshop. Photoshop CS6 Classroom in a Book is on the way, I hope to spend a couple of hours per day working through the lessons.

I’m “Lightroom only” so the new $10/mo PS/LR deal doesn’t apply (I don’t have a previous version of Photoshop–legally, anyway). I’ve been getting every Lightroom upgrade for a few years now, so if Adobe decides someday (probably soon) that Lightroom will be rental-only, then I’ll most likely groan, grumble and go with it. But I won’t be interested in a package deal that includes software that I don’t use. Here’s a question: Is the monthly CC price paid per computer or does the monthly amount let you install it on more than one computer in the same house (e.g., both husband and wife)?

Makes perfect sense, Pam. And I think you’re probably right about LR also going to subscription-only. I think all software is probably moving in that direction and it’s just a matter of time. To answer your question about the license, you can install it on two machines. I assume that’s because Adobe figures most of their customers are people who will want it on a desktop and a laptop. That’s how I do it, anyway.
