Olympus is adding a new model to their long-running Stylus line of point-and-shoot digital cameras. The new 12-megapixel Olympus Stylus-7010 has a super thin body, a 2.7-inch LCD and a 7x wide-angle zoom lens with mechanical Sensor-Shift image stabilization. It also has a new AF Tracking system that follows your subject and constantly adjusts focus – perfect for photos of the kids playing soccer or taking your best buddy to the dog park.
In spite of its small body, the new Olympus Stylus-7010 has pretty much all the standard features you expect from a point-and-shoot digital camera now. It’s got and Intelligent Auto Mode that analyzes a scene and chooses the best scene mode for you, Dual Image Stabilization helps ensure sharp photos, Shadow Adjustment Technology automatically optimizes contrast, an in-camera panoramic mode stitches multiple images into panoramic photos and the Beauty Mode helps keep the ladies happy by smoothing out wrinkles and blemishes.
The new Olympus Stylus-7010 pocket digital camera will be available in August and should sell for under $200.
