Strength:

Versatility, Reliability, ease of handling. I use many other Canons but when I want consistantly good shots without a lot of thought I grab my Elan.

Weakness:

When I use a Program mode, the metering is sometimes not as good as what I can do manually.

I love my Elan because I can be a serious photographer and make all the choices myself or I can be lazy and let the camera do the thinking for me: like when I am a "tourist" and don't want to be "the photographer." Either way my shots turn out great. I highly recommend this camera.

I love this camera!Takes great pictures!I bought the Elan IIe Kit which came with the 28-80 lens which I am very happy with but if I had it to do over again would probably go for the 28-105mm for the extra versatility.

Strength:

Easy to use. Lightweight. Good number of features and quality for the price. It goes from fully manual to fully automatic in less than 2 seconds. It is the best camera in the market for a beginner who in turn advances to intermediate. Good value overall. Great selection of lenses.

Weakness:

None serious. Lack of additional grip while holding the camera vertically is solved with extra battery pack. Can use infrared film, but about 1/16 inch is lost of the negative due to fogging by slide counter.

Great value. Easy to use and learn. Excellent ergonomics and very easy access to all functions.

Strength:

The Elan II E has to be the fastest and user freindly camera on the market!

Weakness:

I haven't had any problems with the camera since I got it 3 years ago.

For the price it has to be one of the best deals on the market today. It belongs in your hand because you can trust it to work perfectly every time.

Strength:

Very easy to use with lots and lots of features that you will learn to use as you become a better photographer. The exposure compensation dial is a breeze to use. Very intuitive controls.

Weakness:

Wish it had a night light for the LCD display. Manual is too brief for all of the features available.

A solid, feature-packed, well-priced camera that will take many years to outgrow. With 28-80mm and 75-300mm lenses you have almost every shot covered.

None, Everything works the way it is supposed to. I only have trouble remebering everything this camera can do.

Fits well if you have big hands. Works great and it's range of features is outstanding
