FUJIFILM ANNOUNCES NEW LINE OF FRONTIER DIGITAL PRINTERS

New System Gives Pro Labs and Retailers Compact, Easy-to-Use,
High Capacity Digital Network Printers

Valhalla, NY, January 24, 2008 – FUJIFILM U.S.A., Inc. today announced a new line of Frontier Digital Printers:  Frontier 750/770/790.  Fujifilm continues to expand Frontier Solutions, with this new series of Frontier lab systems offering output of up to 2,360 4R prints per hour – designed for pro and retail labs.  These printers produce exceptional quality images on Fujicolor Crystal Archive paper for long lasting archival prints.

The Frontier 750/770/790 printers feature Fujifilm’s Image Intelligence™ technology.  For over 70 years, Fujifilm has been at the forefront of developing and improving image quality through Fujifilm’s proprietary Image Intelligence technology.  This technology optimizes images to ensure the consistently high quality prints that characterize Fujifilm photofinishing solutions.

“This Frontier series has all the right features so that larger photo labs and retailers can support their consumer business with a high capacity solution that’s also compact and easy to use,” said Thomas Curley, director of marketing, Imaging Division, FUJIFILM U.S.A., Inc.

The Fujifilm Frontier 750/770/790 digital printers can be installed in a 15 ft2 space, and offer standard printing sizes of up to 36 inches in length in addition to an optional three or four built-in paper magazines.

The Frontier printers also offer a “one-touch” replenishing chemistry system, using CP-49E chemistry, which further simplifies machine operation.  The Frontier image controller functionality is based on the new Frontier Workflow Management Software “MS” technology, to offer optimum workflow efficiency and connectivity to Fujifilm GetPix kiosks, featuring new Get Pix Kiosk Software “TS” and Internet photofinishing solutions.  The system also features imaging controller technology that enables job prioritization of print orders to handle express orders.

The Frontier system also supports the SP500 film scanner for efficient, automated 35mm film scanning, and the SP3000 film scanner, allowing for scanning a wider range of formats including APS and medium-format films.
