Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR3Today, Panasonic announced the Lumix DMC-ZR3 super compact hybrid digital camera. The ZR3 features 14.1-megapixels, a 25mm ultra-wide-angle Leica lens with 8x optical zoom, Intelligent Zoom, which extends the ZR3’s zoom to an impressive 10x, AVCHD Lite High Defintion (HD) video recording capabilities, a super-fast AF (Auto Focus) speed of 0.26 second (wide-end) / 0.31 second (tele-end), a 2.7-inch large Intelligent LCD, and Panasonic’s iA mode that includes Face Recognition, Happy Mode, Intelligent Resolution, AF Tracking, Intelligent ISO Control and Intelligent Exposure. The ZR3 is also compatible with the next-generation SDXC Memory Cards.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR3 digital camera will be available in silver, black, red and blue colors.

    Looks like the Panasonic ZR cameras are a sort of mini ZS/TZ line. Instead of a 10x or 12x zoom they have an 8x zoom. Looks like the other specs are pretty similar to the ZS3 and ZS7, though. I’m curious about the physical dimensions and price. If it’s smaller than the ZS cameras, then the ZR3 could be a sweet pocket camera.
