EYE-FI AND LEXAR ANNOUNCE WIRELESS MEMORY CARD SOLUTION

CES, LAS VEGAS, Jan. 8 — Today, Eye-Fi (www.eye.fi), makers of the world’s first wireless memory card for digital cameras, announced an agreement with Lexar Media, a leading provider of memory products for digital media, to introduce a wireless memory card based on Eye-Fi’s patent-pending technology. As a result of the agreement, Lexar Media will introduce a new memory card with Eye-Fi’s technology that allows users to send photos directly from their digital camera to their computer or their favorite online photo sharing site.

“Our agreement with Lexar Media is our first step toward offering camera, storage, and digital home device makers a unique way to incorporate the power of wireless connectivity and web services into their products,” said Jef Holove, CEO of Eye-Fi. “We see Lexar as an ideal business partner to extend the benefits of Eye-Fi’s wireless photo sharing to consumers. Lexar’s intellectual property in flash memory is a sign of their technology leadership and Lexar has a portfolio of brands that consumers have relied on for years. “

“Our customers are always looking for easier, faster and more reliable ways to store and share their memories, and we want to keep pace with their busy lifestyles,” said Brad Anderson, Director of Product Marketing at Lexar Media. “We believe our customers will enjoy the benefits of being able to tap into the benefits of Eye-Fi’s service – including direct uploads of photos to many different online destinations and users’ home computers.”

Lexar Media will feature a demonstration of Eye-Fi’s technology and service in its booth (#31434 South Hall 3 Upper Level) at the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 7-10.
