let us hope that Sony has responded finally to the widely reported soft image problem which plagued the otherwise superb DSC-HX5V which with some moderate firmware adjustment to lessen excessive noise reduction at low ISO could have been the undisputed class leader, instead of an interesting but flawed camera.
    What a wasted opportunity!

looking at zs10 and hx7 samples i can predict hx9 and hx100 image quality – crap! this is the year i graduate to a larger sensor camera. tired of of these smear machines.
