Redesigned Think Tank Speed Convertible Camera Bags

Bags News

Redesigned Think Tank Speed Convertible Camera BagsThe Think Tank Photo Speed camera waist pack has been reborn as a shoulder bag. The new Speed Convertible Series camera bags, Speed Demon V2.0, Speed Freak V2.0, and Speed Racer V2.0 now have a “disappearing” belt and a padded shoulder strap. I took a look back at the original Speed Demon waist pack and noted that the new design also has some nice restyling touches. The new kidney-shaped design isn’t as boxy as the original and Think Tank says it fits better because of the new shape. They also added stretchy mesh pouches on the ends of the new bags – perfect for a water bottle or a couple of beers – depending on what kind of event you’re shooting.

It’s not all about the beer carriers, though. Here are some more features you’ll find on the Think Tank’s new Speed Convertible camera bags:

  • Compatible with Think Tank’s Modular, Skin or Multimedia components
  • Flip-top lid opens away from the body
  • Front organizer pocket
  • included rain cover

The Speed Racer V2.0 is the biggest of the three new bags and can accommodate a full professional digital SLR like the Canon EOS-1D Mark IV or Nikon D3s, with lens mounted, along with two or three pro zoom lenses. The Speed Demon V2.0 is the smallest of the Speed Convertible bags. It can carry a prosumer digital SLR like the Nikon D7000 or Canon EOS 5D Mark II along with two or three small zoom lenses. The Speed Freak V2.0 splits the difference and holds a prosumer digital SLR and two or three pro zoom lenses.
