Vivitar To Release New Video Camera Models At CES 2011
Las Vegas, NV. – January 6, 2010 – Vivitar, a leading brand of digital cameras and photographic accessories for over 70 years, embarks on CES 2011 with a highly anticipated collection of digital products and accessories. Whether indoors or outdoors, day or night, rain or shine, Vivitar’s new line of video cameras has something to capture every occasion.
Vivitar launches the DVR 790HD, a 5.1 megapixel, 3D video camera. With the ability to shoot and view all the action in 3D, the DVR 790HD has a 2.7” preview screen and 4x zoom. The model is HDMI compatible and operates with the included lithium battery and is available at an SRP of $199.95.
For the adventure seekers, Vivitar introduces the DVR 480, its first digital helmet camera. The DVR 480 is a compact and durable, 1.3 megapixel video camera with three mounts for attaching to the top or side of a helmet, or to the bike itself. It is complete with built-in speakers, supports SD cards and operates with 2 AA batteries. The sleek design is simple to use and offered at an SRP of $89.95.
Vivitar’s DVR 780HD is a full high definition camera featuring Wi-Fi capabilities to upload your pictures and videos to your favorite social networking sites instantly. The DVR 780HD is compact to take anywhere and features a 2.0” preview screen and 4x zoom. The 5.1 megapixel camera is also HDMI compatible and SD card supported. The DVR 780HD comes with a lithium ion battery and is available at an SRP $199.95.
Vivitar’s 2011 models are offered in a decadent array of colors including butterscotch, root beer, licorice, red-hot, cotton candy, grape, blueberry, spearmint and sugar free. Additional new products to be unveiled at the show in the video camera category include the DVR iTwist 680, DVR 538HD, DVR 740HD, DVR 745HD, DVR 1020HD, DVR 760HD, DVR 548HD, DVR 800HD, DVR 805HD, DVR 945HD, a variety of 5-10 megapixel devices.
Vivitar will also release a lineup of products including digital cameras, binoculars, and accessories, all expected to ship in the Spring of 2011.
Located in Central Hall, booth #9841, Vivitar is taking appointments on Thursday, January 6 from 10AM-6PM and Friday, January 7 from 9AM-4PM at CES, the largest consumer electronics show in the world in Las Vegas, taking place from January 6-9, 2011 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
