Canon EOS 7D

Canon EOS 7D

The Canon EOS 7D digital SLR splits the difference between the 5D Mark II and the 1D Mark IV, with an emphasis on speed. It wouldn’t be unfair to call it a 1D Mark IV Lite. It has near 1D auto focus performance with a 19-point auto focus array, AI Servo II and 8 frames-per-second burst shooting. The 18-megapixel APS-C sensor compromises high-ISO image quality a bit but keeps the 7D small and makes it a great backpack digital SLR. It also helps keep the price down compared to the 1D Mark IV – way down. Like the 5D Mk II and 1D Mk IV, the 7D also has full HD video with selectable frame rates and resolution.
