Canon announced two new Wi-Fi inkjet Photo All-In-One (AIO) printers, the PIXMA MP980 and PIXMA MP620. Both printers offer the features and quality of a personal digital darkroom and office productivity machine in one inkjet device. The Canon PIXMA MP980 and PIXMA MP620 also feature Canon’s Auto Photo Fix and Canon’s new Auto Scan Mode.

Purchased form Costco and just opened it. Could not test scanner capabilities without installing printhead and ink. Purchased for convenience of scanning negatives and printing lab quality photos with one device. So far disappointed at quality of negative scans compared to the epson v500 http://shutterbug.com/news/091907epson/. Setup is also a pain and the wireless is not a atraight forward setup. I am very experienced with computers, photography printing scanning etc and I may be returning this product for an epson V300 $100 at best buy and a separate decent photo printer
Purchased from Costco. Super easy set-up and excellent quality prints. All operations are easily and intuitively performed. Anyone with any experience with a standard printing, scanning, and/or wireless device should have no problem upgrading to this superior multi-function. Documentation is nicely packaged as a desk top manual. Easy to use. I am more than pleased with this purchase.

Purchased this printer from Staples on sale for $99.98. Replaced my 6-year hold HP injkjet. I’ve heard good things about Canon (although, I’m a photographer and all my equipment is Nikon!). Speaking from an inkjet user, I am very satisfied with the quality this printer yields. The colors are crisp and true to monitor (even without calibrating my monitor), Very Very easy to use and most informative even for the not-so-savey computer user! Printer is very fast and very quiet (compared to my old HP).
You can go crazy reading review after review, but bottom line, this printer performs and the only example I can give is that the prints utilizing the Canon Photogloss II glossy paper, the prints are equivalent to what you would get at a CVS 1-hour photo. Not bad for less than $100 !
If your on the fence about getting one, then I say wait for a sale and then make the purchase. You wont be disappointed!
