Sony announced the Cybershot DSC-H55 high-zoom, compact digital camera.
The DSC-H55 features 14.1 -megapixels, 10x optical zoom Sony G lens with 25mm wide-angle (equivalent), a 3-inch Clear Photo LCD, Sweep Panorama mode, HD movie recording (1280 x 720 at 30p), Optical SteadyShot image stabilization with Active Mode, Self portrait timer, Smile Shutter, and iAUTO. The DSC-H55 cameras features a memory card slot compatible with both Memory Stick (PRO Duo) and class-four and above SD/SDHC formats.
The Sony Cybershot DSC-H55 will be available in black and silver in April for $250.

I purchased a Fujifilm digital camera 10 years ago and paid about 1/5 what this camera cost. My only frustration with that camera was shutter lag. I was constantly missing shots because the subject would moe before the camera took the photo.
That camera gave out this past week and, after much research, I settled on the Sony H55. My 10 yr old Fujifilm camera took less time to get ready between shots. The Sony claims up to 100 burst shots. I have read and followed all instructions carefully and I can’t get it to take more than 3 in a row. The quality of the photos is not as good as my 10 year old camera.
I’m very disappointed with this camera. It does not live up to any of its claims.
This is my First Digital Camera, I was fixed to buy canon, but the store guy convinced me to buy this I am gone use it wish me luck, suggest me how can i improve picture quality.
This Camera is simply awesome. The quality of pictures taken by this camera is simply Outstanding!!

Sony H55 , Nikon S8100 or Cannon SX210 IS
