what’s the main differences between the 9500 and 9000

I require a printer for panoramas up to 14 inches wide by 36 inches long. The 9500 Mark II is very attractive exept for this unresolved question. Can it handle it?

wat is the care & maintanence for the 9500

  • dpa5575 says:

    Folks,

The 9000 uses dye inks and the 9500 uses pigment inks. Dye inks produce slightly better glossy prints but a shorter archival life…pigment inks are primarily for fine art work (usually on luster or matt paper (ect.) and longer archival periods.

Both printers produce up to 13 x 19 inch prints without roll paper capabilities.

Pigment inks in the 9500 (and the extra cartridges) produce significantly better B&W prints

Care and maintance for boh printers is mostly automatically done by the printers with the occasional need for manual cleaning.

Make sure you have enough workspace for both units inasmuch as when printing reqiore a very large footprint.

I have a 9500 mk ii and find it produces outstanding prints–the B&W prints will blow your mind–B&W prints are as good as you can get from inkjet rivaling Epson’s R2880 and 3880.
