Today, Nikon announced the AF-S Nikkor 35mm f/1.4G and AF-S Nikkor 200mm f/2G ED VR II lenses, that both include Nikon’s Silent Wave Motor (SWM) technology, a Nano-Crystal Coat, Nikon’s Super Integrated Coating (SIC), and nine blade diaphragms.
The AF-S Nikkor 35mm f/1.4G wide-angle lens features a Rear Focus (RF) system, M/A (manual-priority autofocus) and M (manual focus) focus modes, 10 optical elements in seven groups, and great handheld low-light shooting with its f/1.4 maximum aperture. The AF-S Nikkor 35mm f/1.4G lens is ideal for weddings, architecture, and travel photographs or video capture with Nikon’s D-Movie feature.
The AF-S Nikkor 200mm f/2G ED VR II quick and fast telephoto lens features Nikon’s Vibration Reduction (VR) II Image Stabilization for still and video capture, an Internal Focusing (IF) system, A/M, M/A and M focus modes, 13 optical elements in nine groups, 3 Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass elements and 1 Super ED glass element, and Tripod Detection Mode. The AF-S Nikkor 200mm f/2G ED VR II is ideal for sports, nature, fashion, weddings, and portraits.
The AF-S Nikkor 35mm f/1.4G lens will be available November for $1799.95. The AF-S Nikkor 200mm f/2G ED VR II lens will be available October for $5999.95.
