Sony announced two new digital cameras, the Sony Cybershot DSC-TX1 and Cybershot DSC-WX1.
The DSC-TX1 and DSC-WX1 are the first Cybershot digital cameras to use Sony’s new “Exmor R” back illuminated CMOS sensor technology. The “Exmor R” technology improves shooting in low-light scenarios, enhances image clarity and drastically reduces grain. These cameras also include the hand-held twilight and anti-motion blur multi-shot mode, Sony’s Sweep Panorama and 10 frames per second burst shooting features, Intelligent Auto, Face Detection, intelligent Scene, Pet mode, Smile Shutter technology, dynamic range optimization, and intelligent Auto Focus.
The DSC-TX1 features 10.2 megapixels, a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, 4x telescopic zoom, 3-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus touch display, and Sony’s Optical SteadyShot. The DSC-WX1 features 10.2 megapixels, a Sony G lens with a wide angle 24-120mm 5x optical zoom, and a 2.7-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus display.
The DSC-TX1 digital camera comes in silver, gray, pink and blue and will be available in September for $380. The DSC-WX1 digital camera comes in black and will be available in October for $350.
